The couple's guide

Your wedding, through everyone's eyes

Everything you need to know about ShaadiCam – what it is, how it works, and why the best photos of your wedding might come from Dadi's phone.

Your photographer will capture the rituals. Your 300 guests will capture everything else.

Imagine this

The morning after the Sangeet

11:40 pm, the night before

The dhol is still going. Your cousin Kabir climbs onto a chair to get the whole dance floor in one frame. Across the room, your Nani, who has never taken a selfie in her life, tilts her phone at you and Rohan and laughs when the screen shows nothing at all. "Sealed until morning," it says. She doesn't understand it. She loves it anyway.

9:00 am, the morning after

Two hundred phones buzz at once. The family group fills up before anyone has finished their chai. There's the shot your photographer missed – your father, alone at the back table, wiping his eyes during your first dance. There's Kabir's wobbly, perfect dance floor. And there, slightly crooked, slightly blurry, is Nani's photo of the two of you, laughing.

Nobody talks about anything else at breakfast.

An illustration of how a ShaadiCam morning feels – names and moments are examples, not a real customer's story.

What ShaadiCam is

One camera for every guest

Guests scan a card on their table, take photos on their own phone, and the whole wedding appears in one album the next morning.

It works like the disposable film cameras at weddings of the 1990s – a limited roll, no peeking – but on the phone everyone already carries, and every photo ends up with you.

0apps for guests to download, and no accounts or passwords
24shots per guest at each event – like a roll of film, so every photo counts
9:00the next morning, when each event's photos develop for everyone at once
1 yearyour album is kept, to download in full quality whenever you like

How it works

Three steps, about two minutes of your time

  1. Create your wedding

Sign in at app.shaadicam.in with your email – no password. Add your events (Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, the wedding itself, or anything you're planning, even a cricket match) with their dates and times.

  2. Put a card on every table

Print your table card: your names, a line of your choosing, a photo or a drawing of a bride and groom, and a QR code. Share the same link in the family WhatsApp group for anyone who arrives early.

  3. Wake up to every moment

Guests shoot through the evening. At 9 am the next morning, the event "develops" – everyone sees the album together, and you can download every photo in full quality.

What your guests do

  • Scan the card, type their name, tap "Open the camera".
  • Take up to 24 photos, with a film look if they like – Haldi Glow, Mehendi, Classic Film or Black & White.
  • Use their phone's own camera, or add photos from their gallery, from the same roll.
  • Read it all in English or हिंदी.

What you can do

  • Preview every photo before the reveal – no one else can.
  • Hide anything you'd rather not share, and star your favourites for "Best of".
  • Develop an event early, or change the reveal time.
  • Download everything as one file, organised by event.

The heart of it

Why the photos wait until morning

9:00 am

Because waiting changes everything. Guests take fewer, better photos when they can't check them. Nobody spends the Sangeet staring at a screen. And the next morning becomes its own small celebration – the whole family discovering the night together, from a hundred different angles.

Why couples choose it

What your photographer can't be

Everywhere at once

One photographer, one angle, one moment at a time. Three hundred guests see the back tables, the kitchen, the dance floor and the cousins' corner.

On the inside

Guests catch the moments people only share with family – the inside jokes, the happy tears, Dadi dancing when she thinks no one is watching.

Private

Only people with your link can see the album. Photos are sealed until the reveal, and you can hide any of them before anyone sees it. Your photos are stored in India.

Yours to keep

Every photo in full quality, organised by event, ready to download – the raw material for your albums, your anniversary and your children's questions years from now.

On the day

Celebrate

Cards on every table, one line from the stage, and then forget about it.

The morning after

Develop

Hide anything you'd rather not share before 9 am. Then enjoy breakfast.

On a phone, swipe the strip sideways to see every step.

Say it from the stage

Or ask your anchor (master of ceremonies) or DJ to say it once at each event:

Everyone, look at the card on your table – scan it, and you're our photographer tonight. Twenty-four photos each, and we'll all see them together tomorrow morning at nine.

Questions couples ask

The plain answers

Do our guests need to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code on the table card (or tap the link in WhatsApp), type their name and the camera opens in their phone's browser. Nothing to install, no account.

What about Nani, who doesn't use smartphones much?

Most guests need one tap after scanning. The camera speaks Hindi as well as English, and any cousin can help in ten seconds. Older relatives are often the ones who love it most.

Does it replace our photographer?

No – it fills the gaps. Your photographer captures the rituals beautifully; your guests capture the dance floor, the dining tables and the reactions your photographer can't be there for.

Who can see our photos?

Only people with your wedding's link. Before each reveal, only you can preview the photos, and you can hide any of them. Albums are never public.

What if the venue has no signal?

Photos are saved on each guest's phone the moment they're taken and upload by themselves once there's a connection.

Can guests use their phone's own camera?

Yes – with Night mode, Portrait and every lens. They can also add photos they already took from their gallery. Everything comes from the same 24-shot roll, so guests choose their best.

What does it cost?

It's free while we run our first pilot weddings. After that, it's one payment per wedding, from ₹1,999 depending on how many guests and events you have, with no subscription. See pricing.
